POWAY, Calif. – Aldila, Inc. made it two in a row recording their second shaft manufacturer win at a major championship this season by being the number one shaft of choice for both woods and hybrids at the PGA Championship in Medinah, Ill., according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila was also the number one shaft manufacturer of woods and hybrids at this year’s British Open.

"Winning the shaft count at the last two majors of the year shows the growing demand from the best players in the world for our new VS Proto shaft," said Mike Rossi, Aldila’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Aldila also dominated on the Nationwide Tour as the winner of the Northeast Pennsylvania Classic in Moosic, Pa., used the Aldila NV in his driver. Not only did the winner choose Aldila, but so did the majority of the other players as Aldila was the #1 Hybrid and Utility shaft of choice surpassing their closest competitor by almost twice the count.

The VS ProtoTM "By You" shaft incorporates Aldila’s innovative new Next Generation Micro Laminate TechnologyTM featuring Carbon Nano-tubes, which are combined with Aldila’s proprietary A65 Performance Resin System, using advanced high modulus graphite fibers, all synthesized into Micro Laminate TechnologyTM.

"The VS ProtoTM offers unparalleled performance, consistency and feel … it’s the straightest, longest shaft that Aldila has ever offered," Rossi added.
