LAURINBURG, N.C., … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced that, according to authoritative Darrell Survey results, the majority of pros depended on Golf Pride® grips at the 2006 Tour Championship, played at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga.

The tournament, played November 2-5, featured Golf Pride grips on 326 (86.2 percent) clubs compared to just 52 (13.8 percent) clubs for all other competitors’ grips. Among the 27-player field, an impressive 19 players (70 percent) chose Golf Pride’s Tour Velvet® model; the most popular grip in golf today. The Tour Championship also saw professionals overwhelmingly choose Golf Pride on their woods, with 69 of 76 (90.8 percent) adorned with Golf Pride grips.

"It’s not surprising that Golf Pride grips have remained the grip of choice throughout the entire professional golf season," said Dwight Miles, director of global sales and marketing for Eaton’s Golf Grip Division. "At any level in golf, not just on Tour, Golf Pride’s leadership and performance are outstanding."

Eaton’s Golf Grip Division is the world’s largest manufacturer of golf grips, with manufacturing, sales and distribution facilities on five continents. The division’s Golf Pride brand is recognized globally as the number one choice in grips among tour and recreational players, competitive amateur golfers, club manufacturers and club repairmen.
