Texas course to host World Golfers qualifying

Anders Bengtson, President of World Golfers USA, announced today that the Tangle Ridge Golf Course in Grand Prairie, TX will hold a qualifying event for the World Golfers Championship on Aug. 20.

The 18-hole qualifier will be held in conjunction with the DFW Senior Tour series and is open to all golfers, not just seniors. Entry fee will be $60. Call 214 724-1261 for more information or to enter.

The winners from five handicap categories (0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25) will earn spots in the United States finals, scheduled Sept. 12-13 at the Mission Inn Resort’s El Campeon and Las Colinas Courses in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL.

The winners there earn spots in the World Golfers Championship, scheduled Oct. 24-31 at the Marbella Golf Resort in Spain.
