ANAHEIM, Calif. – MATRIX Shafts would like to congratulate the winner of the U.S. Open. After finishing 25th in her first U.S. Open appearance last year, she came back this year to win in a sudden death playoff using a prototype M3 shaft in her Honma Beres driver. The win made her the third youngest U.S. Women’s Open winner in history. In the first, all-international playoff in a U.S. Women’s Open, her driving allowed her to take a two shot advantage into the third hole and ultimately win the playoff by three strokes.

As a premium shaft company, MATRIX Shafts produces top of the line shafts to enhance and promote tour performance. MATRIX Shafts experiments and pioneers with avant-garde technology to create some of the most successful shafts on the PGA tour. The current M2 version of the shaft has seen great success on the PGA tour, leading many golfers in victories at tournaments such as The Players Championship and Wells Fargo Championship. The M3 has already seen much success on the various tours despite not having been in limited release on tour.

“The M3 series shafts have been highly successful. We have approximately ten players that have switched into them and have done exceptionally well” said MATRIX Shaft’s Director of Tour Operations Joe Miera.

The M3 will be released on Monday, July 18th 20011 to the general public.
