Batavia, IL – Ryu Ritsuko won her first Japan LPGA tournament, the Nitori Ladies Golf Tournament at Katsura Golf Club in Tomakomai-Shi, Hokaido this past Sunday August 28th, 2011.
It was a remarkable victory and a very tight fight on the final day of the tournament. Tour Edge staffer Ryu Ritsuko caught the leader on 17th hole. On the 18th tee, she made a great drive of about 260 yards and hit her second shot within 12 feet of the back side of the hole. With the pressure on she sank the only birdie for the day on the 18th and captured her first win.
