At the rain-shortened Barclays played at Plainfield Country Club, SuperStroke Golf was well represented, led by a 3-time major championship winner. Using a SuperStroke Slim Lite, the Irishman finished T13, earning him enough points to gain entry into the next playoff event. The Slim Lite helped him on the greens, using only 28.3 putts per round (T13 for the week) and 1.6 putts per GIR (9th for the week).
“I wouldn’t say we played with desperation,” … “I think there was a bit of freedom in it. We had nothing to lose. We were the last men in”, said the 2-time British Open Champion when referring to players having to play their way into the next playoff event.
4 players will represent SuperStroke at the Deutsche Bank Championship played at TPC Boston, including The 2011 Players Champion, KJ Choi, and the Texas native, winner of the FedEx St. Jude Classic.
