Twenty-four year old South African wins fourth European Tour event this year
CARLSBAD, Calif., October 9, 2012 – Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) announced today that Staff Professional Branden Grace, who started the season as a Qualifying School Graduate, used a full bag of Callaway equipment and an Odyssey putter en route to a two-stroke victory at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship this weekend. He shot an opening round 60 to tie the all-time low round in European Tour history and never looked back. Grace’s wire-to-wire triumph in Scotland followed a win at the Vodacom Origins of Golf Final last week.

When asked post-tournament about what has changed about his game to cause such a surge in performance, jumping from 256th in the World Rankings to the Top-40 in short time, Grace credited hard work and his Callaway equipment:

This victory marks Grace’s fourth win on the European Tour this season, his fifth win of this year and the sixth overall win of his career. He is the first Q School grad to win four times on the European Tour in his first season and he is now third in the Race to Dubai.
Grace is a product of the Ernie Els Fancourt Foundation. Els said of Branden on Saturday, “He’s always been a quality player, and he’s really come on now. So he’s a world contender now; wherever he plays, he’s got a chance to win now.”
