Jonas Blixt secures his first PGA Tour victory
CARLSBAD, CA (October 14, 2012) – Jonas Blixt, COBRA PUMA GOLF Ambassador, won the Frys.com Open today to secure his first PGA Tour victory as a rookie on Tour. Jonas shot a 16 under par to secure the win using COBRA Golf equipment and wearing Tomato (red) PUMA Golf gear in honor of his alma mater, Florida State University. Jonas’ win comes after four top ten finishes, the most recent a third place finish at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, in his rookie year on the PGA Tour.
Jonas started the final round in second place and competed his way to the top of the leaderboard with five birdies. With eight holes left to play, Jonas was in a four way tie for the lead with an epic birdie on 17th to take the outright lead.
