Pettersen won with a full bag of Nike Golf equipment including VR Pro wedges and the Nike Method Putter
BEAVERTON, Ore. (October 29, 2012) – Nike Athlete Suzann Pettersen, secured her 10th LPGA title with back-to-back weekend wins.
Battling blustery conditions in the final round, Pettersen defeated the elements to claim victory at the Taiwan Championship. She capitalized on aggressive shots, utilizing her VR Pro wedges and Method putter to yield 23 birdies.
“My wedge game has been great all week,” said Pettersen as she broke down the success of her final round. The Nike VR Pro wedges, part of Pettersen’s Nike arsenal, utilize high frequency grooves – more grooves that are closer together. This groove formula ensures maximum flight control and shot-to-shot consistency.
After sticking it close with her VR Pro wedges, Pettersen sank crucial birdie putts with her Nike Method Putter. The Method franchise features Nike’s polymetal groove technology, generating a faster forward roll at impact for increased accuracy.
Pettersen also played with Nike’s 20XI X ball featuring Nike’s RZN Core technology. This new innovative technology provides a lighter, faster and more responsive core than rubber core technology. RZN technology allows for less spin off the driver and more spin off the wedge, creating greater distance and control.
Pettersen also wore Nike Golf Apparel from the Performance line and the Nike Lunar Links, featuring Nike’s successful Lunar technology.
