The final World Golf Championship of 2012 ended in a shoot-out on Sunday with 2 SuperStroke grip users finishing T2 in Guangdong, China. Jason Dufner took home one of the top finishes for SuperStroke Golf while the other was claimed by a short-game specialist using a modified SuperStroke belly grip.
Dufner closed with a 64 on Sunday to push himself near the top of the leaderboard. Using a SuperStroke Slim putter grip, Jason’s putting was critical in his T2 finish, also finishing T2 in birdies (26) for the week. The SuperStroke Slim helps the two-time PGA Tour winner relax his hand and wrists throughout his putting stroke, giving him more confidence with each putt.
The other top finish was from a 40-time PGA Tour winner who uses a modified 21-inch SuperStroke belly grip to enhance his “claw” putting technique. Since making the switch to this SuperStroke grip, the four-time major champion has not finished worse than T15 in an event.
A 21-inch SuperStroke belly grip was also spotted on the winner’s putter at the Asian-Pacific Amateur Championship. The 14-year-old golf prodigy made a 5-foot par save on the final hole to secure victory. This win earned him entry into the 2013 Masters, where he will officially be the youngest golfer to ever compete in that event.
