Anaheim, CA-Matrix Shafts would like to congratulate the winner of the Champions Tour-Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic, who took the win after a playoff on Sunday. Playing the OZIK X3 White Tie in his Adams LS 3-wood, this 2009 PGA Senior Championship winner shot -11 after 4 rounds. This was the second win in a row for Matrix Shafts on the Champions Tour.
The OZIK X3 White Tie was the second model released of the three new Matrix Flight System shafts. Representing the next gen OZIK XCON, the OZIK X3 White Tie fits golfers who prefer a high-launch, low-spin ball flight. The Matrix R&D team took the designs of the XCON and found a way to increase the stability and provide a tighter feel through the shaft in the X3, without having to increase the overall weight. With a progressively linear graduation at impact, the X3 White Tie is more efficient in energy, travel and transfer, resulting in a higher ball speed that stronger players prefer.
“It’s always great for the brand to have a win with one of our newest shafts,” said Director of Tour Operations, Joe Miera. “The Matrix Flight System was created to simplify the shaft selection process for golfers on all levels. This concept and these shaft models have been widely accepted from all tour playing fields. I look forward to hearing more great things about the Matrix Flight System shafts as we move further into the season.”
