LAKE MARY, FL (April 17, 2013) – Attendees at the 23rd Annual ING Spring Conference will have the opportunity to learn from their peers in a new educational session for the conference. In the Best Practices session on Wednesday morning of the conference, volunteers will present ideas that address specific challenges or issues in the golf industry.
This annual gathering of golf media, companies and executives from the golf industry is set for May 19-23 at the beautiful Reunion Resort in Orlando. The non-profit International Network of Golf, the industry’s only media-based networking organization, conducts the conference. ING is “where the media and golf industry connect.”
Anyone in the golf industry and media is invited to join ING and attend the conference. Call 407-328-0500, ext. 1 for details.
ING members were asked to submit programs that they have utilized to overcome a challenge or address an issue during their careers. Ideas could come from any aspect of the industry, from player development to employee morale to product marketing.
The ING Advisory Board will select the top entries, and those will be presented in the Best Practices session on Wednesday morning. Attendees will then vote for their favorite presentation that morning, and the winner will receive a prize.
Best Practices is one of several educational sessions planned for the ING Spring Conference. Earlier on Wednesday the Mentor-ING Breakfast will take place, featuring experts sitting at specific tables to lead casual discussions on their specific area of expertise.
Monday morning offers three subject choices: Social Media Marketing, Golf Club Technology and Wellness In Golf. These sessions will be repeated, so attendees can attend two of the three. Panelists include Sean Toulon of TaylorMade Golf and Frank Thomas of Frankly Golf (Club Technology); Nancy Fox from The Business Fox and Lena Wasserman of LWG Marketing (Social Media); and Charlotta Sorenstam of the ANNIKA Academy, A.J. Ali of Golf To End Cancer and Kevin Roby of Golf Psychology Consultants (Wellness In Golf).
Attendees at the ING Spring Conference will have the opportunity to test the latest and greatest golf products from manufacturers large and small during the ING Demo Lab. The popular One-On-One Appointment Show returns, featuring private, 20-minute meetings between exhibitors and attendees.
The featured golf competition that week will be the World Golfers Amateur Tour National Qualifier on Monday of the conference. Flight winners advance to the WGAT National Finals in Mesquite, NV, in September. There are several networking sessions, Glow Golf, and more.
To receive the reduced ING room rate at Reunion, ING attendees must call Reunion’s reservations office at 877-523-7130 by April 19 and identify themselves as a member of ING. The discounted rate is per bedroom, per night, in a spacious 3-bedroom villa. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and TV, and shares living room and kitchen with the other two bedrooms in the villa.
Reunion Resort is located only 25 minutes southwest of the Orlando International Airport, and is part of the newly established Grand Golf Resorts of Florida – a Salamander Collection – along with 2011 ING host Innisbrook Resort near Tampa and Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast.
The ING Conference is open to everyone in the golf industry and media. For more information, call 407-328-0500, ext. 1. For more information regarding Reunion Resort, visit www.reunionresort.com.
