FORT WORTH, TX – April 23, 2013 – UST Mamiya, maker of the world’s finest carbon fiber golf shafts, reports the winner of the Open de Espana relied on PROFORCE AXIVCORE shafts in his driver (PROFORCE AXIVCORE Blue 69X) and 3-wood (PROFORCE AXIVCORE Blue 79X) along with ATTAS in his hybrid (ATTAS 85X) to earn his first victory of the year on the European Tour.

The winner finished with rounds of 73, 66, 73 and 71 (-5), while taking a record-tying nine play-off holes to secure his win.

“UST Mamiya wants to congratulate the winner of the Open de Espana,” said Robb Schikner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “PROFORCE AXIVCORE is a product that continues to perform for the best players in the world and it’s a product we continue to see success at the retail level.”

All UST Mamiya carbon-fiber shafts are made using handcrafted, repeatable production techniques that incorporate world-class engineering and premium-selected raw materials. This combines with tight tolerances, constant taper design and low-resin content to enhance feel during the golf swing.
