BMW Charity Pro-Am Champ Claims First Web.com Tour Win Using Aldila’s RIP Phenom NL

‘The hottest shafts in golf’ captures wood, hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on PGA Tour for 10th week in a row

POWAY, Calif. – Using Aldila’s RIP Phenom NL shaft in his driver and VooDoo shaft in his 3 wood and hybrid clubs, the winner of the BMW Charity Pro-Am notched his first Web.com Tour victory. With his 5-stroke victory he picked up a check for $117,000 and moved from 133rd to 9th on the 2013 Money List.

The Phenom’s Hyperbolic Flex Technology provides a stiff tip section for optimal launch and spin control, with a very firm butt section for an incredibly stable feel, while the center section of the shaft is softer to provide outstanding kick through impact to maximize ball speed.

“The RIP Phenom incorporates the same flex, torque and feel properties that have made the original RIP the leading shaft on the PGA Tour, with a flex profile to achieve unparalleled performance and launch characteristics for better players,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The Phenom NL wood shaft has a stiffer tip for lower launch with less spin. The unique design of the Phenom NL offers a stiff tip while still maintaining the feel that has made the Phenom one of the hottest shafts in golf.”

Led by its new Tour Green and Tour Blue shafts, Aldila won the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the HP Byron Nelson Classic on the PGA Tour. Aldila had 18 more wood shafts and more than double the amount of hybrid shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer, according to the Darrell Survey. The double count win marked the 10th consecutive week that Aldila has won both counts on the PGA Tour including the Masters. Aldila had a total of 32 Tour Blue and Tour Green shafts in play on PGA Tour this week.

At the HP Byron Nelson Classic, the Most Accurate Driver switched to Aldila’s Tour Blue shafts in his driver and 3 wood. He finished as the Web.com Tour’s Most Accurate Driver with an overall driving accuracy rating percentage of 79.63 compared to the Tour’s average of 64.79 percent.

“The Tour Green and Tour Blue is a new shaft design that’s currently undergoing final testing on Tour and will be released later this year,” said Bahl.
