Matrix Ozik Xcon Played by AT&T Championship Winner

October 29, 2013

Anaheim, CA-Matrix Shafts would like to congratulate the Champions Tour AT&T Championship winner who used the OZIK XCON in his TaylorMade RBZ 5-wood.

The OZIK XCON was the first true high-launching, low-spinning shaft that was introduced in the golf industry. While some said this flight profile was impossible to construct, Chief Designer Daniel You and the Matrix R&D team were able to successfully do so by using different forms of technology along the X-Axis Control. The X-Axis Control provides the ability to independently control launch and spin characteristics. While other shaft manufacturers continue to try and reach this type of profile, few have been able to successfully do so.

The XCON was replaced by the X3 White Tie this past fall, but still continues to be a popular shaft model on all tour levels. The newer version, the OZIK X3 White Tie performs with the same high-launch, low-spin flight characteristics as the XCON, and is part of the new Matrix Flight System shafts.
