Volvik staff player Pornanong Phatlum finished T2 at the Thailand Ladies Open at the Siam Country Club in Thailand Sunday on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour. Phatlum, also known by her nickname Waen, was playing her trusty Pink Vista 4-piece golf balls.
Phatlum ranks 1st on the LAGT’s Merit of Order with only three events played and $116,295 earned. She won the TLPGA Hitachi Classic earlier in the year.
Phatlum collected the top prize money ($26,250) as the winner of the Thailand Ladies Open was an amateur. The situation was similar when Phatlum won the Hong Kong Ladies Master in 2006, as a 16-year-old amateur. Phatlum set a LAGT record as the first player to win five times on the tour, winning the Hong Kong Open in 2006, Women’s India Open in 2008, 2009 and 2012 and the Thailand Ladies Open in 2008. Phatlum is only 23 years old.

Thailand’s Phatlum currently ranks 28th on the LPGA money list. She has earned $456,379 this year with two Top 5, five Top 10 and eight Top 25 finishes. She ranks 10th in driving accuracy and 13th in Putts Per GIR.
