FORT WORTH, TX – September 22, 2014 – UST Mamiya, maker of the world’s finest carbon fiber golf shafts, reports the winner of the Web.com Tour Championship relied on Elements Chrome in his Callaway driver and 3-wood.

The winner finished with rounds of 65, 66, 67 and 68 (-14) to claim his first career professional victory. He secured his 2014-2015 PGA TOUR card and finished in 2nd place among the Top 50 to receive their cards. Along with the winner, five other players earned their PGA TOUR cards using UST Mamiya golf shafts.

“UST Mamiya wants to congratulate the winner of the Web.com Tour Championship,” said Robb Schikner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Elements Chrome is the first wood shaft in the market to utilize Recoil Technology, which maximizes ball speed and reduces dispersion. It is also the first professional victory for Elements Chrome which will be coming to the retail market by the end of 2014.”

Elements Chrome is state of the art in carbon fiber golf shaft design; utilizing key technologies to produce the longest and straightest shaft in golf.

• Recoil Technology optimizes the spring effect and promotes the highest and most efficient energy transfer from butt to tip to maximize ball speed and reduce ball dispersion.

• Variable Wall Thickness within each section of the shaft for enhanced feel and better control and accuracy.

• Counter balance design to produce manageable swing weights for today’s heavier heads.

UST Mamiya produces a variety of shaft models, including the renowned Recoil™, Elements®, PROFORCE® and ATTAS™ lines, which have received significant usage on major professional tours internationally. Paralleling its achievements at the professional level, the company’s shafts have remained the top-selling aftermarket option in the United States over the past seven years.

Knowing that every golfer who installs a new shaft will also need a grip, UST Mamiya offers a line of premium offerings. They include the Tour PC 360™, Soft Touch™, Soft Touch Lite™, Soft Touch Wrap™ and ST1™ putter grips.
