“Hottest shafts in golf” sweeps driver, wood, hybrid shaft manufacturer counts

POWAY, Calif. – Players using Aldila shafts in their drivers, finished 1-T2-T2 in the men’s professional tournament at the Seaside Course in Sea Island, Georgia. Every participant in a three-way playoff for the championship had an Aldila shaft in their driver.
The tournament winner, finishing at 14-under-par, relied on Aldila’s Tour Blue shaft to help capture his first career win on the second hole of the three-man, sudden-death playoff. The second place finishers played Aldila’s Rogue shaft and Tour Green shaft in their respective drivers.
“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” also swept the shaft manufacturer counts at Sea Island by having six more driver shafts, nine more wood shafts and eight more hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor, according to the Darrell Survey.
Aldila’s Rogue and Tour Green 65 shafts were the top two driver shaft brand models in play at the Seaside Course. There were 21 Rogue shafts played in drivers, which was seven times the amount in play of the next leading shaft manufacturer. The Rogue has now won the driver shaft brand model in the past 33 consecutive events dating back to the 2013-2014 season. Aldila’s Rogue, Tour Green 85 and Tour Blue 85 shafts were the top three wood shaft brand models in play at Sea Island.
The Rogue shaft is built on Aldila’s ultra-successful new “tour” platform using the same tapered tooling and Nex Gen Micro-Laminate Technology™ that provide the exceptional performance of the leading shaft model among top ranked professionals – Aldila’s Tour Green and Tour Blue.
“Aldila’s Nex Generation Micro Laminate Technology is comprised of ultra-thin layers of premium, low resin aerospace grade materials,” said John Oldenburg, Aldila’s Vice President of Engineering and Product Development. “This design evolution eliminates inconsistent shaft performance caused by material variability. Redesigned tooling also raises the shaft balance point, making this the perfect upgrade for today’s modern club head designs.”
By incorporating extremely rare, expensive, stiff “Graphitic Carbon” along with Nex Gen Micro Laminate materials into the Rogue design, Aldila is able to make the shaft stiffer and lower torque without adding weight. At the same time, the placement of the material in top third of the shaft (grip end) allows the shaft manufacturer to slightly counterbalance the shaft to work well with today’s heavier driver heads and the longer length of modern drivers.
Aldila (www.aldila.com) offers patented shaft design technologies that consistently outperform other shafts available. This technology advantage is the reason Aldila is the most popular graphite shaft among top touring professionals. These top professionals recognize Aldila’s advanced performance and year after year that there are more Aldila wood and hybrid shafts in play than any other shaft manufacturer. Whether the Micro Laminate Technology™ first introduced in Aldila NV™, the most popular graphite ever or today’s Next Generation Micro Laminate Technology, Aldila engineers are continually pushing and advancing high performance graphite golf shaft technology well beyond any other manufacturer.
