ST ANDREWS, Scotland – The Old Course at St Andrews Links, a valued client of IBS Club Software, is the world-renowned home of golf and venue for the 144th Open Championship. As the third major championship of the 2015 season, The Open is the oldest and most international championship in all of professional golf. The 72-hole event, featuring the top players from around the world, begins on Thursday, July 16th and will conclude on Sunday, July 19th.
St Andrews Links has hosted The Open at The Old Course on 28 occasions since 1873. Jack Nicklaus, 1970 and 1978 Open Champion, famously said, “If a golfer is going to be remembered, he must win the title at St Andrews. At last it is my greatest dream come true.”
