CARLSBAD, Calif. (April 24, 2017) – Two weeks after a victory at Augusta, Nippon Shaft recorded two more tour wins Sunday, at the European PGA Tour’s Shenzhen International in China and at the PGA TOUR Champions’ Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf event in Missouri.

At the Genzon Golf Club in Shenzhen, China, the 31-year-old Austrian won on the first playoff hole after shooting 16-under par 272 in regulation using Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS3 Tour 120 X flex steel shafts in his irons. He shot 67-65-69-71 over four rounds and earned ?437,017 ($474,045). It was his fourth European Tour victory and moved him to sixth in the Race to Dubai standings.

Meanwhile, at the two-man team event at the Top of the Rock par 3 course near Branson, N.S.PRO MODUS3 Tour 105 X flex steel shafts were in the irons and wedges of one member of the victorious team to earn $232,500.

“Nippon Shaft is very pleased that players of different ages and different places found that using Nippon Shaft products helped find success in some of the highest levels of competition in golf,” said Hiro Fukuda, Sales and Marketing for Nippon Shaft. “That this success comes just a couple of weeks after the success at Augusta makes us all the more proud.”

The popularity of Nippon Shaft on the world’s major men’s tours continues to grow with over 140 players on the PGA TOUR and European Tour utilizing steel shafts created by the Japan-based golf shaft manufacturer. Players utilizing Nippon Shaft’s MODUS” products won six times so far this season.

Nippon Shaft continues to be the preferred shaft on the LPGA Tour, with several players having recorded victories on the world’s predominant women’s pro circuit.

Over the years, Nippon Shaft recorded hundreds of victories on professional golf tours worldwide, as the best players in the world increasingly chose to install in their irons steel shafts manufactured in Japan to unparalleled quality standards.
