Cornhole meets golf for great backyard, beach, tailgate game

LONG ISLAND, NY – What happens when two long time friends who are avid (albeit lousy) golfers and intense backyard game enthusiasts marry the most popular backyard game in America, Cornhole, with golf? That’s how Chippo Golf LLC was born.

After recently completing a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over a quarter million dollars, Chippo Golf has turned into a dream come true. Chippo will be officially launching at the 2018 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, January 23-26, at the Orlando Convention Center in Booth 3401.

Chippo is simple, fun and extremely portable. It’s the perfect game providing endless hours of entertainment for the backyard, beach, tailgate party, golf tournament or special event.

Chippo is reminiscent of cornhole, washers or horseshoes, but with some cool twists. Set up the two boards with three different sized holes, flip a coin and start chipping. There are three different games that can be played: 1) Match Play; 2) Cornhole style and 3) Six Ball. The scoring works like this:

1 point: Just hit the board on a fly. Boardie.

3 points: Drain your shot in the larger center hole. 3-Hole.

5 points: Send the ball to its home in either top corner hole. 5-Hole.

2x points: If you’re a surgeon with a sixty degree wedge, bounce your shot off the chipping mat for double (2, 6 or 10) points. Bounce Shot.

Chippo has created some significant buzz since its soft launch last fall including product reviews in Golf Digest, Barstool Sports, BroBible and the Huffington Post. Their videos have been viewed online over 15 million times. Inside Hook proclaimed, “The next great lawn game has arrived, people.” and PGA.com recognized it as one of the “Best Golf Gifts of 2017.”

How did the nation survive without Chippo? According to their website FAQs, “We polled 11 people. The results were varied. We’ll post the results at a later date.”
