True Temper, Dogleg Brewing Company form partnership

SAN DIEGO, California— True Temper, the golf division of TRUE Sports, is proud to announce a partnership with Dogleg Brewing Company of Vista, California.  Dogleg Brewing, which kicked off its opening weekend beginning Friday, November 8, 2019, marries craft beer with a passion for golf.  The Vista tasting room is golf-centric and includes an indoor simulator powered by a Foresight Sports simulator and a putting green.  After meeting each other through the game of golf, co-owners Nick and Christina Lumsden and Corey Gustafson, teamed up with award-winning brewer Jim McCaskey to create this unique brewery.

All of the clubs in the Dogleg Brewing simulator will feature steel and graphite shafts from True Temper and Project X.  Additionally, True Temper and Dogleg Brewing will partner on events in the tasting room throughout the year including skills contests, product launch events, viewing parties and industry nights.  The partnership kicked off Tuesday, November 5, 2019, with a golf industry sneak preview.

“A partnership with Dogleg makes all the sense in the world,” said Don Brown, senior director of marketing and innovation for TRUE Sports. “Combining two of San Diego’s largest industries, craft beer and golf creates an awesome tasting room experience that we wanted to be a part of.  We’re excited to help introduce Dogleg to the golf community and have the opportunity to co-host customers and golfers alike in the tasting room.”

Christina Lumsden echoed Brown’s sentiments.

“We are thrilled to have True Temper as a marketing partner with Dogleg,” Christina said.  “Having their innovative products in our simulator gives our patrons the opportunity to test products used by the best players in the world.  We are looking forward to an exciting 2020 golf season with True Temper on board and creating unique events that combine golf and craft beer.”
