CRAFTING A HYBRID GOLF CLUB – INSIDE THE WORKSHOP PART 2

October 28, 2025

Welcome back, everybody. This is part two of our building a Hybrid Golf Club, with Steven Barney, Golf Club Repair and Fitting Tech  at Keiser University College of Golf.  In Part 1, we assembled the shaft and golf club head. If you haven’t seen it, be sure to watch that before starting this one! In Part 2 we’re going to trim the shaft to a proper length, and then we’re  going to install a grip to complete the golf club.

“So, what you wanna do is figure out what length works best for you. I looked up the average length of a three hybrid, and that is 40 to 40 and a half inches. I’m gonna cut it to 40. Now, what you have to keep in mind, though, is the grip butt cap has an eighth of an inch added onto it. “
