Phoenix, Arizona – Daphne’s Headcovers, the original animal headcover company, is not only celebrating its 40th year in business but it is celebrating being the oldest female-owned golf company.
In the 40th year since the first headcover was sold, Daphne’s Headcovers are now available in more than 80 countries internationally. Their products are carried in the bags of hundreds of TOUR professionals including Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, John Daly, Dustin Johnson, Lydia Ko, Brittany Lincicome, and many more.
“I started Daphne’s with my mum, our companies namesake as a fundraised to buy a Volkswagen bug, I never dreamed I would grow it to a global company,” explained Jane Spicer, chief executive of Daphne’s Headcovers. “We’ve survived introducing animal headcovers to the market, driver design changes, recessions global changes, and now Corvid19 and I can still say that I love coming to work every day.”
“Our company reputation is based on 40 years of providing quality through custom designs and attention to the smallest details. All of our 200-plus headcover designs bear our factory phone number. We are so convinced of our quality that should anything ever go wrong with one of our products, we will fix or replace it at our expense.”
The years have brought many accolades to Spicer and to her company. She was named one of the Top 25 Women in Business by the Phoenix Business Journal; was named Top Female exporter in Arizona by the Mayor’s office and Arizona Commerce Authority, Forbes top golf accessory, ING’s innovation award and received the Precious Paws award for service and philanthropy to Gabriel’s Angels. Ms Spicer also serves on the The First Tee of Phoenix board of directors.
