Pellucid State of the Industry Presentation
Pellucid’s announces its 20th annual Pellucid State of the Industry Presentation during the PGA Merchandising Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando FL. Registration to attend either the in-person or the livestreamed event is now open. We will be holding the event in the PGA Show media room, W312A, from 1:30PM-3:00PM EST on Thursday January 26, 2023.
This year’s headline is “Where do we grow from here?” and Jim K. will cover quantitative industry health measures for ’22 focusing on RevpAR, Utilization, Facility Rds Velocity, Supply/Demand Balance, Weather Impact and the changing consumer base. Stuart will address why customer retention and increasing engagement among new golfers are the keys to continued industry success and how (if?) technology is helping or holding back the average operator.
Our 90 minutes of edutainment will have two segments; the first 60 minutes will be the classic review and the latter 30 minutes, for those who want to remain, will demonstrate new capabilities including Golf Market Research Center 2.0 which in ’23 will be automated and expanded through a new partnership with Metolius and their proven data extraction, organization and visualization capabilities (no more manual portal entries if you’re on one of the 5 PoS platforms integrated via API to Metolius, sweet!) deployed via 3 existing PoS providers and 2 more upcoming this year (yes, it will matter which PoS platform you use this year). We’ll also do a live demo of our completely redesigned Golf Local Market Analysis using a facility selected from an attendee chosen at random.
Seating in the room is 75 and the reservation system is being used to anticipate and accommodate as many as possible. We’ll also be collecting PGA Member numbers for MSR credits for attending (not yet confirmed by the PGA but we’re anticipating getting it again this year).
