StrackaLine Scans Hoakalei in advance of large Division I Mens Golf Tournament

Company Produces Industry-Leading Greens Guides for 300+ DI College Teams

StrackaLine, maker of golf’s premier Greens Guides, has recently scanned Hoakalei Country Club in preparation their Division I men’s golf invitational being held from October 28-30.

StrackaLine provides more than 300 Division I golf teams with its industry-leading greens maps, working throughout the year to expand its library of courses so the game’s next generation of stars has access to the same information available to PGA Tour players.

Regarded as one of the premier private clubs in the Hawaiian Islands, Hoakalei is quickly becoming one of the top courses for college and professional tournaments in that area. Andrew Tredway, who runs the college division of StrackaLine states, “Hawaii is such a rich golf state, and Hoakalei is an exciting addition…The Ernie Els design will see its share of big events in the years to come”. The course will provide a fair test for the nation’s best collegiate golfers, and we are delighted to be providing them with our best-in-the-game greens guides.”

Hoakalei, which translates to “reflection of a lei” holds a deep tradition with the surrounding Ewa Beach community. The course itself is boasts 112 white sand bunkers and if you can avoid those it is likely the prevailing trade winds will play a significant role while navigating this Ernie Els designed layout.

StrackaLine worked in conjunction with the USGA to ensure its greens guides were in compliance with the governing body’s new interpretation of Rule 4.3, allowing the company to continue providing its best-in-the-game greens maps to professionals and amateurs.

The quality and accuracy of StrackaLine’s greens guides have led to widespread adoption on the PGA, LPGA, Symetra and Korn Ferry tours, in addition to their use by more than 300 Division I college teams.

StrackaLine scans courses for $1,500 and that includes 100 greens guides for resale. The scanning process takes five hours to complete and is unobtrusive to the golfer experience.

StrackaLine now has 900+ courses scanned, including some of the nation’s most prominent layouts. Use of the greens guides at all levels of the game has surged, and the company now counts nearly every Division I golf program among its users.

The greens maps, which feature easy to read arrows, allow players to view contour and fall lines, in addition to slope percentage, anywhere on the green.
