This last weekend, the European Tour hosted its BMW PGA Championship, held at the West Course at Wentworth Golf Club in Virginia Water, England. Billy had a bogey-free Sunday round of -5, 65, including a birdie on the 72nd hole, to beat the field by one and win his first tournament in three years. With this win, Billy joins Arnold Palmer as only the second American to win this event!
Congratulations also to the winners of the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour’s Sanctuary Cove Junior Classic, held at Sanctuary Golf Club in Waverly, GA.
Parker Claxton of Claxton, GA won the Overall Male Title with rounds of 69-67.
Parker is the son of former PGA Tour and Champions Tour player Paul Claxton.
Paul is number 27 on our list of over 1600 touring pros who have a Putting Arc, and he got his in 2003. He is currently the teaching pro at Brunswick CC in Brunswick, Georgia, and is obviously very good at what he does!
Kate Barber of Savannah, GA won the Overall Female Title with rounds of 71-71.
